About

Hi, I’m Tyler — creator of Cultivating Curiosity.

As both a mother and former primary school teacher, I’ve always felt deeply passionate about creating spaces where children feel safe to explore, express themselves and learn in ways that feel meaningful, connected and true to who they are.

Over time, I found myself drawn toward a slower and more holistic approach to learning — one that values curiosity, creativity, connection and intuition. I truly believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported and free to be themselves.

Cultivating Curiosity was created from a desire to offer children a space where learning can unfold naturally through play, exploration, creativity, nature and meaningful relationships. A space where mixed ages are celebrated, childhood is honoured and children are given the freedom to learn in ways that feel connected, intentional and supportive.

Everything within Cultivating Curiosity is grounded in our four core pillars — curiosity, creativity, connection and intuition.

We nurture curiosity by encouraging children to ask questions, explore their interests and engage with the world around them with wonder and openness. We value creativity as a way for children to express themselves freely, imagine, problem solve and develop confidence in their own ideas and individuality.

Connection sits at the heart of everything we do. Through meaningful relationships with themselves, others, nature and community, children develop empathy, emotional awareness, belonging and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

And perhaps most importantly, we nurture intuition — supporting children in building self-trust and confidence in their own inner voice. In a world that constantly encourages children to seek answers externally, I believe there is so much value in helping children learn to trust themselves, listen to their instincts and feel confident in who they are.

I truly believe that when children are deeply rooted in these four pillars, learning naturally unfolds. When children feel emotionally safe, inspired and genuinely connected to the world around them, learning becomes something joyful rather than something forced. They begin to explore because they want to, ask questions because they’re curious and create because they feel connected to themselves and their ideas.

At the heart of Cultivating Curiosity is the belief that children already carry an innate love for learning within them. When we nurture that light instead of controlling it, children develop confidence, wonder, self-trust and a genuine excitement for learning that extends far beyond childhood.

My hope is that every child who enters this space feels seen, valued, safe to express themselves and deeply connected to both them and the world around them.
